I’m a Melbourne-based Cinematographer specialising in commercial and branded content. Working closely with agencies, directors and production companies, I deliver on-brand visuals across TVCs, digital campaigns, film, TV and documentary.
My approach is grounded in a long-standing love of stills photography and the documentary form, with my visual sensibility heavily influenced by photojournalism. That background shapes how I frame images, work with light and observe real moments, bringing a sense of authenticity and clarity to commercial storytelling.
Collaborating with other key creatives, I’m focused on translating creative ideas into polished visuals while staying responsive to schedule, budget and production realities. Clear communication, adaptability and problem-solving are central to my skillset, ensuring smooth delivery from pre-production through to final execution.
I bring a broad production background to every shoot and where required, I’m able to self-direct, particularly on branded, documentary-style and social-first projects. I have over 20 years of experience as an editor, which informs how I shoot for story, coverage and post-production efficiency. I’ve also spent over a decade directing and producing commercial and documentary content, giving me a strong understanding of story, performance, pacing and narrative clarity.
Alongside my creative work, I have extensive experience in project management, including producing and raising finance for productions and delivering complex projects on time and on budget. This allows me to engage confidently with producers and clients, anticipate production challenges and make practical decisions on set (as well as staying sympathetic to the real-world challenges producers face).
Whether it’s a lean, fast-moving crew working with available light or a full commercial production, I’m comfortable working across a wide range of production scales and bring strong visual instincts, an efficient on-set workflow and a calm, collaborative presence to every shoot.
